Organized Religion

Apparently, according to Christine (Nicks Mom) Nick will have it no other way than to raise his kids Catholic.

We were having this conversation because I mentioned to the girls that for Halloween, my church used to put on what they instead called 'Hallejuah night' and we would dress up like people from the Bible and play games. The girls were in hysterics. Christine thought it was 'lovely' and then asked me if me and Nick would raise our kids Christian or Catholic. (Shes a very strong Catholic). I didnt want a debate so I shrugged and said I didnt know. Thats when she said 'Nick will have it no other way to raise his kids Catholic, thats how he was raised and thats the best education, he'll have it no other way!'

I kept pretty quiet coz me and Nick discussed this and Nick thinks Buddhism is the way to go.
Nick always says that Buddhism is the belief that if you do something good, something good will come back to you. Karma.

FYI

Bud·dhism n. The teaching of Buddha that life is permeated with suffering caused by desire, that suffering ceases when desire ceases, and that enlightenment obtained through right conduct, wisdom, and meditation releases one from desire, suffering, and rebirth.

When I was younger we saw a sign in a shop for shoplifters saying that karma will come back to them. Mandy said that karma was witchcraft and I shouldnt beleive in it.

I believe that Catholics are Christians, they've just slipped off the track and are in a bit of a rut when they pray to Mary, but I still think they're heading in the right direction. i'm not sure everything that Christians believe is right but i think that we're heading in the right direction too. In my opinion .... Buddism is waaaaay out there.
