Drama Queen

I went out for a couple of drinks last night with work for Fabrizio’s going away drinks. Nothing fancy and we all got free drinks which I felt super guilty about but he insisted on paying for everyones. Yikes. Way to break the bank. I ended up walking to the station with a guy from work Paul (apparently he used to be the office slut – a bit too old and uninteresting for me though). And I wasn’t sure where the station was but I think he did but pretended to get lost. I couldn’t tell if it was genuine or not.

Im tired, Im hungry, Im a little bit drunk and all I want to do is eat my Chinese with my feet up on the couch. There was a girl shouting at her boyfriend across from my house and I realized I left my keys on the kitchen table that morning. Beth was home so I knocked on the door to get let in….no answer. Dig around my bag more for my keys and my phone. Knock again. Still no answer. Bang again, still no answer. Shes on the phone so I cant get through to her, shes not answering her mobile. By this time Im truly frustrated and absolutely starving and its about 5-10 min later. I was calling her the whole time kinda knowing that she wasn’t answering coz she heard the black guys across the road shouting.

Finally, after I call Nick to find out where he is in case he was coming home anytime soon so I wouldn’t haveto sit on my step and eat my Chinese with no fork or chopsticks, a shaken up Beth opens the door holding the house phone and her mobile to both ears practically hysterical saying she thought I was a big black guy trying to get in (or something) and that she had been calling her Mom, Nick, Kim and her best friend Ali, worrying them all to death coz someone was trying to break into the house and she was alone not thinking to open the top window, maybe look out and shout at them or something.

What a drama. I was fuming at her. No wonder I couldn’t get a hold of her.

Nick didn’t get in until 3:30am so its lucky she was home in the end to let me in or I would’ve had to have gone to Mr and Mrs H’s to sleep.

I also told Nick about it this morning and he said he had a message from his Mom frantically asking him to call her As Soon As Possible and that it was an emergency!
Never a dull moment.
