Remember the days when you needed to get cash out of your account, so you walked up to the teller, gave her your bank card and voila! You were given cash.
Well, I needed to book our flights and of course they don’t take maestro and I don’t have a credit card and Nick doesn’t have enough cash in his account to cover the price and the tickets NEED to be booked by tomorrow to get the promotion offer.
So I need to withdraw the money and deposit it into Nicks account so we can book them tonight. So I went into the bank up to the teller (coz I have a £300 limit through cash machines) to take out my money and I cant without ID and my chequbook! So the teller gets me to call them to see if I could waiver the limit so I could take this amount out and they wouldn’t. So…me in my furious state stormed out of the bank screaming, 'Since when can I not take out money from my own account??!!'
Hats off to security but for crying out loud. Who carries their chequebook around with them these days? What company even accepts cheques anymore? Everything is done through card these days.
Anyway, I had to wait till today, went to the teller with my chequebook and ID, had to write a cheque to myself and then finally got my money, deposited it into Nicks account with no problems and now we are ready to book our flights to Canada in June.
That’s only like 4 mths away!

don't you know that taking out more than 300 a day makes you a terrorist?
