Living for the Weekend

Well, I met up with wet haired girl at the local 'Oceans Apart' pub on friday night. I kinda wanted to meet later at like 8:30 or 9 but she called me twice and text me wondering what time was best. So at 7:30, I trooped 5 min to the local pub run by Thais who apparently serve up a mean green curry.

I have no idea what to expect out of the night. The music was loud (for a pub no doubt) so me and her went out to the back patio in spite of it being really cold and chatted all night outside (while she smoked). It was to crowded into the night inside so we would only go in to use the washroom, get another drink and warm up. We stayed out until about 11:30 until they closed the back patio so me and wet-haired girl snuck our drinks out the front and sat in front of the Leisure Centre on the curb like a couple of teenagers and finished our drink. Conversation ranged from roomates to womens problems to relationships to work.

So all in all it was excellent company and we parted ways with more plans to meet up in the future. Just maybe in London instead of the local pub which turned into a club which is run by Thais and is loaded full of black people.

I guess thats Norwood for you though.

I also managed to get up at 9:30 the next morning, slightly hungover but took the train into London Bridge and met Katie (American friend) at Borough Market. I bought 3 plants (1 ivy, 1 bamboo & a nameless house plant), red pepper corns, tofu, fresh bay leaves, fresh king prawns, lemongrass and found an amazing tea stall which Mandy would LOVE and tried this amazing rose tea. YUM. Then I went home, potted my new plants, trimmed the hedges, cleaned the house, yelled at Nick for not helping me, made my prawn curry and met Nick & friends in London by 7:30 only to be greeted on sunday morning with another slight hangover, period cramps from hell and a home cooked meal by Nicks moms over at hers.

Thats my weekend for you. Back to monday morning and its only 10:30.

Sigh.
